I sourced this yarn directly from Huxtable Farm. The farm is in Barnstable, Devon. As well as being a working farm, they also offer a bed & breakfast. This yarn is composed of 90% Texel crossed with Jacob, and 10% Alpaca to add a little softness. Crossing the two breeds often creates dark brown fleeces. The yarn is plump and springy, and while I wouldn’t recommend it to be worn directly next to the skin it makes wonderful jumpers, outerwear and accessories. Each DK weight 100g ball is approximately 250m in length. The yarn has not been superwash treated so requires gentle hand washing unless you intend for it to felt. Due to the dyeing process no two skeins are identical.
